Most Recent High Speed Internet Offers

Definition of Terms

Download:

The speed at which your Internet connection downloads data to your PC from the Internet.

Upload:

The speed at which your Internet connection uploads data from your PC out to the Internet.

QOS:

InternetFrog.com reports the Quality of Service (QOS) for your connection, which represents the level of consistent download capacity provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). The higher QOS percentage, the higher the overall quality of the connection - which results in better connections for high traffic applications, such as streaming content (audio, video, VoIP calls, etc.)

RTT:

The Round Trip Time (RTT) reports the total time in milliseconds (ms) to send a small data packet and obtain a reply back. The smaller the RTT score means a faster the connection.

Max Pause:

Max Pause is the longest pause recorded during the data download. This should be a very small number. If not, it could indicate Internet congestion or a bad Internet connection.

FAQs

We are showing high upload and download speeds but our VoIP connection for Internet calls is poor. Why?

For most users, the speed and quality of the online experience is determined partially by the speed of the Internet connection. Obviously, the faster the connection, the better the user experience. However, the quality of the user experience with VoIP, and other real-time streaming applications for that matter, are largely dependent on the amount of packet loss. And not the speed of the Internet connection. In fact, a VoIP call doesn't need a really high speed Internet connection at all - a 100kbps connection or less is just fine.

Packet loss ratio is defined as a ratio of the number of lost packets to the total number of transmitted packets. High packet loss will greatly degrade a VoIP call. Please note that our Internet speed test does not currently test packet loss.
